With a Mercury Music Prize nomination under their belt for their latest release Sensible Shoes this band really is firing on all cylinders.
The band are not just some Johnny-come-latelies however, their Mercury nomination was for their fourth album. Add to that extensive touring around the UK, and you get a band which are sounding tighter and more mature than ever before. Their sound owes as much to rock as it does to jazz, and is “like a hot chainsaw through butter” (The Wire).
